Dr. Obermeit is passionate about helping individuals identify, understand, and cope with difficulties in thinking skills, such as forgetfulness, disorganization, inattention, and language difficulties. Dr. Obermeit also provides therapy for individuals struggling with changes and stressors in life. She provides treatment for depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, phobia, ADHD, memory difficulties, and more.

She is dedicated to inclusive care for individuals of all backgrounds, is a strong ally of the LGBTQ+ community, and is actively devoted to helping promote equity in our community.

Dr. Obermeit trained through Harvard Medical School, University of California San Diego, and San Diego State University. She earned her doctoral degree in clinical psychology, with an emphasis in neuropsychology, and she is a licensed clinical psychologist in California. She specializes in the evaluation and treatment of brain-based disorders. For example, cognitive profiles associated with Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, epilepsy, oncology, multiple sclerosis, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), learning disorder, autism spectrum disorder, and more.

If you have been forgetting information, having difficulty finding the right words when you speak, or struggling to pay attention or stay organized, a neuropsychological evaluation might be right for you. Neuropsychological evaluations can help to identify, diagnose, and target treatment recommendations using objective, research-backed tests.
